Pumpkin design and delivery moving over 50,000 pounds of pumpkins.

Alpharetta, Georgia Aug 27, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Pretty Porches ATL, Atlanta's premier pumpkin delivery and design service, is gearing up for an exciting fall season. The company, co-founded by long-time friends and Atlanta locals, Kelly Laughlin and Kelly Wernick, brings the beauty and joy of fall to the doorsteps of homes across the city.

The dynamic duo, widely known as the "Kelly's", shares a deep-rooted passion for the fall season. Their inspiration for Pretty Porches ATL sprouted from cherished memories of pumpkin shopping with their children and the desire to make that experience more convenient for others. Founded in 2022, the company has quickly gained popularity for its unique and personalized service.

"The Fall season is twice as long as the Christmas season and we really just wanted to make the most of it by savoring it through our offerings. Pumpkins are beautiful and such a part of both Halloween and Thanksgiving. We wanted to do something that celebrated and highlighted the season and extended it as long as possible. Providing a concierge delivery and design pumpkin service seemed like the perfect answer," said Kelly Laughlin.

In 2022, Pretty Porches ATL moved an impressive 50,000 pounds of pumpkins, illustrating the community's love for their innovative service. "We are excited to see how excited people are about the pumpkins and about continued growth. People love our work and there is so much satisfaction out of seeing the joy on people's faces and the beauty on their porches. It's like Christmas when the customer comes out to see it for the first time," commented Kelly Laughlin.

Pretty Porches ATL offers a choice of three different packages, with add-on options including Halloween decorations, mums, and even a removal service at the end of the season.

Deliveries and design services for the 2023 season will begin in the last week of September and continue through the beginning of October. "We are having so much fun doing this together. I didn't realize we would get so much joy out of this little company- but we do. Our hope is to continue to grow it and expand everyone's love for this season," stated Kelly Wernick.

GISBH: KPWKM prioritises swift reunification of rescued children with families

KUALA LUMPUR: The immediate return of children rescued during Op Global to their parents and families is a top priority for the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM). However, its minister, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said KPWKM must first ensure that the children’s parents and families can provide adequate and proper care. “For cases where the capability of the parents and families is clearly established, the reunification process can proceed without delay. In more complex situations, intervention programmes will be implemented to ensure the children’s and families’ best interests are safeguarded “The ultimate goal is to reunite these children with their families. However, before this can happen, several factors need to be carefully evaluated. This is not about denying anyone’s rights, but about ensuring the best interests of the children are upheld,” Nancy said during a minister’s briefing session on GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) in the Dewan Rakyat today. As of yesterday, 560 children – 283 boys and 277 girls – had been placed in safe custody after the Social Welfare Department (JKM) obtained a temporary court custody order for two months under Section 25(2)(a) of the Child Act 2001. Meanwhile, Nancy said the Task Force Profiling Team for Op Global found that 94.3 per cent of the 558 profiled children had at least one living biological parent, while 5.7 per cent had no parents or no available information on their parents. Health assessments showed that 51.6 per cent of the children were underweight, falling below the healthy Body Mass Index (BMI), while 46.1 per cent had a normal weight and the remaining children were classified as obese, she added. “Three children have been issued persons with disabilities (PwD) cards, while 27 others display symptoms of disability,” she added. Cognitive assessments were also conducted on 385 children aged seven and above, with 71.9 per cent (277 children) showing no signs of cognitive disorders, she said. “However, 20.26 per cent (78 children) displayed moderate cognitive disorders, while 7.79 per cent (30 children) were found to have severe cognitive impairments,” Nancy said.
