Christmas tree and fashion
Christmas festivities are in full swing with malls, hotels, and other establishments lighting up their Christmas trees.
Christmas tree lighting events have been a tradition in the Philippines, showcasing towering trees that feature unique design.
This year, global retail brand UNIQLO, lit up its first of three Christmas trees at Glorietta Plaza in Makati City on Friday, October 23. The event was attended by the media and influencers to celebrate the beginning of the Yuletide Season.
The tree towers over the plaza. Half of the tree is designed to look like Santa's house and serves as a display area for the retail brand's Fall/Winter collection. The upper half is the actual tree, decorated with clothing ornaments. It is topped with the brand's cube logo.
This is also the first Christmas tree of the newly renovated Glorietta Plaza, the open public space in front of Glorietta 4. The plaza also faces the retail brand's global flagship store.
To entertain the guests, Pinoy Big Brother host Alexa Ilacad performed a Christmas song. Scholars of The PARC Foundation, which the retail brand supports, also performed during the event with a string (violin, viola, cello) rendition of Christmas songs.
