Pumpkin Seed Oil for Hair Growth: Clinical Results & Timeline Guide Published

Oct 23, 2026

Trybello has released an educational guide comparing pumpkin seed oil with minoxidil for pattern hair thinning, covering the clinical research, typical timelines, and side effects of each option so readers can set realistic expectations.

Miami, United States, October 23, 2026 /PressCable/ -- A newly published guide from Trybello examines pumpkin seed oil's efficacy for hair growth, summarizing what clinical research shows about each, how long results typically take to appear, and which side effects to consider. It is written for people with pattern hair thinning who are considering plant-based alternative treatments to the chemical standard, minoxidil.

Pattern hair loss is a common issue among American adults, explains Trybello. Androgenetic alopecia affects up to 50 percent of men and women, according to StatPearls. Understanding what the evidence actually supports for each treatment option, and how long it takes to work, helps readers set realistic expectations from the start. Without that context, it becomes easy to abandon a routine too early or expect results overnight, states the guide.

Trybello’s guide places minoxidil, which has decades of clinical backing, beside pumpkin seed oil, a natural option with promising but limited research. A randomized, double-blind trial mentioned in the guide found that men who took a daily pumpkin-seed-oil-based supplement saw increased hair counts after six months. A separate 2021 study compared topical pumpkin seed oil with 5% minoxidil foam in women with female-pattern hair loss over three months, and both groups showed improvement, though the trial's small size and short duration limit how far the results can be generalized.

The new guide explains that pumpkin seed oil follows a slower timeline than minoxidil. Visible changes in density generally begin around the three-month mark, with the most noticeable gains closer to six months of consistent use. Minoxidil’s visible regrowth typically begins at three to four months, after an initial shedding phase.

However, Trybello's guide also compares side effects which often affect continuity of treatment. Scalp irritation and unwanted facial hair growth are known concerns with minoxidil, while scalp greasiness and possible allergy should be considered with pumpkin seed oil. The company therefore advises patch testing to mitigate any risks.

Trybello Hair Helper Spray combines caffeine, biotin, castor oil, and other nourishing ingredients into a single daily application meant to support thicker, healthier-looking hair that works with the hair's natural growth cycle.

Russia to host 2030 world weightlifting champs in Olympic federation first

PARIS, France — Moscow was announced Sunday as host of the 2030 world weightlifting championships, the sport's governing body becoming the first Olympic federation to hand Russia global staging rights since 2022. No world championships in an Olympic sport, summer or winter, have been held in Russia since the start of the war against Ukraine. The 2025 world swimming champs, initially attributed to the Russian city of Kazan, were moved to Singapore. "Concerning the IWF (Senior) World Championships in 2029, it will be staged in Ahmedabad (India), and Moscow (Russia) will host the 2030 edition," the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) said in a statement. IWF general secretary Jose Quinones added that "all the bids we received were excellent and we are sure that the championships in your respective countries will be a huge success". In a post on Telegram, Russian Weightlifting Federation president Aleksandr Vinokurov thanked the IWF "for their trust", with the 2030 world champs also serving as a qualifying event for the 2032 Olympic Games. "Russia has all the necessary experience and capabilities to host competitions of the highest level," he said. "Moscow has repeatedly staged major international sporting events and has modern infrastructure." The federation toasted its success in snagging the hosting rights. "The Russian Weightlifting Federation is the first Olympic sports federation to succeed in bringing a top-level official competition back to the country in many years," it said. The decision to name Moscow as the host is a ground-breaking one and comes in the wake of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announcing a pathway for Russian athletes to compete in international competition. A state-sponsored doping program implemented, according to the World Anti-Doping Agency, at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, and the assault on Ukraine launched by President Vladimir Putin in 2022 resulted in Russians competing in various guises at international competition, most recently as Individual Neutral Athletes. However, on July 7 Russia came in from the cold when the IOC eased restrictions on Russian athletes and opened a pathway for them to compete in qualifying events for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. A furious Ukraine filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) requesting that the IOC decision be annulled.
